The GBX-DAX publicly launched on 2018-07-23. HEI previously normalized the month-level first-party launch statement to 2018-07-01; a contemporaneous 2018-07-23 launch report now supports the exact public opening date, so the entity and launch event are corrected to that date. GBX later moved its operating company from Gibraltar to Estonia, but this record keeps Gibraltar as the historical origin of the exchange identity. On 2021-01-29 GSX Group completed the sale of GBX to Mine Digital and simultaneously closed the GBX-DAX; Mine Digital did not continue the GBX brand or platform technology. HEI therefore classifies the terminal state as acquired with acquisition as the death reason rather than a bankruptcy or failure. Mine Digital is now resolved canonically as hei_ex_001169 and is linked as the acquisition counterparty, but no successor_id is created because the GBX identity/platform did not continue. The original gbx.global domain remains reachable but now mixes archived GBX material with unrelated post-closure editorial/affiliate content, so it is classified as repurposed and should not be treated as a current exchange service endpoint.
